The Magic Hour....

I normally don't agree with what Magic Johnson has to say. Mainly because he's a moron and can't put a coherent sentence together. But I couldn't agree more with this quote:

"There's definitely no great teams out there," said Magic Johnson, Smith's TNT studio mate. "But with that being said, it's going to make it better for the playoffs, because you really don't know who's going to win it."

The most exciting thing for me about the NBA this year is the great diversity of talent across the league. There is no clear-cut favorite to win it all.

The Spurs are the favorites (IMO), but not by much.

Other than having a Croatian pussy for a center, the Spurs don't have much weakness this year.

Miami is dangerous and Seattle seems to be for real, but I'll believe it when they actually win something.

Phoenix is nothing without Nash. If Mobley gels quickly in Sacramento, they could be hard to stop.

Dallas was not good last year, and is even worse this year.

There are no other Eastern teams worth mentioning.
