Rocking Horse Ranch....

This past weekend we went to the 2nd annual Roccisano family reunion at the Rocking Horse Ranch located in Highland, NY. It's a year-round resort that offers a ton of activities for the entire family.

We arrived Friday late afternoon and had about an hour to kill before dinner, so I took the kids in to the pool. After dinner, Nicky, Thomas, Alexis, Vinny, Jeff, and Danny hung out in our room until they all fell asleep. Saturday morning breakfast then pooltime with Thomas and Alexis. Nicky had the beginnings of a cold and was quite grumpy in the morning. Alexis eventually left us in the pool to go see the horses with Jennie and Nicky. Thomas stayed with me in the pool, then we changed into some dry clothes and explored a little more of the building we were in and found the arcade room! Alexis, Nicky, and Jennie found the playground and the pony rides.

After lunch the boys and I headed back to the pool for a couple of hours. Afterwards was a big game of scattergories in the lounge then a quick poker tournament before dinner. After another dip in the pool with all three kids, we caught the 9:30pm magic show which was very entertaining. It was right up to the room after the show and the kids passed out. It was a late start Sunday morning as the kids all slept until 8:00. After a quick breakfast, we packed up the room, loaded the car and checked out. We headed over to the playground and pony rides for the boys.

After playing on the playground and checking out the horses and camel in the stables we headed over to the main building for the group photo.

After a quick bite to eat for lunch we headed home against the kids' wishes. They all wanted to go back in the pool one more time.

Jerry,

Do you mean family specific activities? Like everyone in the family participate in a big tug-of-war game? three legged races?

There was nothing like that, but other things to do together. Like bingo, family feud, scattegories.

There were a lot of activities to choose from. Either alone or with others from the family.
