Exactly What The Knicks Needed.....

More power forwards.

They have reportedly traded Nazr Mohammed and Jamison Brewer to the Spurs for Malik Rose and a first round pick.

They also traded Vin Baker and Moochie Norris to the Rockets for Maurice Taylor and a first round pick.

Hey Isiah - how about not trading away your only legitimate center?

What was he thinking? On the positive side, he got 2 first round picks back in return. A move finally done to help out in the long run. Although he took on longer contracts for more money than what he gave up.

Can't wait to see what Mike Lupica has to say about this in tomorrow's Daily News.

UPDATE:
Glad to see everyone's in agreement. I haven't found one person who agrees with Isiah's trades (except for fans of Houston and San Antonio)

I don't really understand what a lot of the teams were thinking with the trades they made. Did Danny Ainge really trade Gary Payton et al to get Antoine Walker back? Wasn't he traded because Ainge didn't like his attitude? I guess 1/2 a season in Atlanta has changed Walker's attitude enough that Ainge now thinks he will be an asset to them team.

Can anyone tell me why the Kings traded away Webber for basically nothing? I know that they probably wanted to get rid of his salary and more importantly keep Peja happy but they had to have been able to get a better deal. Watch out for the 76'ers next year...Iverson, Webber and Mashburn, plus all those young guys they didn't have to give up in either of those trades.

The 76ers did come out looking great - they kept Korver, Iguodala and Dalembert, who all are young and have potential to get better. They only gave up older so-so guys, I agree. It will be tough to keep Iverson and Webber around long term though, salary-cap wise. But they were mediocre and suddenly because pretty damn good.

If the Knicks get another Trevor Ariza or better with those two late first-round picks then people will re-think their Isiah bashing.
